Dear Mission Partners,

Through the years in our newsletters we have had to tell all the bad things about Romania in order to explain the mindset of Communism and the affects it left on the people, all the stories are true of course and still continue. We have an adult institution in our area that is beyond belief in their appalling conditions, it is where our Georgie and Rodica came from last year.

But today I have sent pictures of the beautiful parts of Romania to encourage our partners to do short term mission trips, not only to visit and help us here with building projects or special care, but also to visit other parts that can be lovely and charming.

We are in a small forgotten village but big business has come to Romania and things are changing quickly for some parts. It is expected that Romania will enter the European Union on January 2007, if this happens, will it be good news for people like us, caring for the handicapped orphans, or will those funds simply disappear into the coffers of the already corrupt government? Time will tell.

So this is my picture story this month. Work continues on the Rachel building project, putting the roof on today, all children are well and we are looking forward to our home visit this year.

God bless you all for your continued support, our prayer request is that God touches the minds and hearts of the government officials to do what is right for Romania.
