Our mission
"Religion that God our father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world"
James 1:27
Tanner Romania Mission's goal is to provide for the children taken into their care for the rest of their lifetime.
The majority of these children will never live independent lives outside of the group home. Although a few of the children attend public schools in Nicoresti, Romanian society does little to accept people with disabilities and this is evident in the lack of care that they previously experienced.
As well as meeting the physical demands of the children and young adults as some of them are now, there are emotional, developmental, and spiritual needs that also need consideration.
The children are raised on the principles of the Christian faith and are shown God's grace and love daily by the provisions He has given.
There is also a teacher than provides schooling within 2 of the group homes.
Developments on many levels with individuals are unmistakably the result of the foundation, the love and time given to them by all who have worked within it.
The Tanner Romania Mission seeks to give hope to these children that have both seen and experienced so much suffrage, providing them with life skills to help them look after themselves within the confines of a safe, secure and supportive family environment.
